Quote of the Week
"...What you perceive as limitations in your life are actually doorways toward resolution"
-Connirae Andreas (Therapist, NLP Master, Author, and one of my beloved teachers) 🌼
This Week's "Subconscious Success" Tip
Use a modality that helps you connect and work with all the conflicting "parts" of yourself so that you can become more resourceful and feel whole.
Have you ever find yourself saying "there's a part of me that wants _____, but then there's another part that wants _____(often something conflicting)?"
Here are some examples I've heard my business clients use:
• I want to make more money, but there's a part of me that thinks I don't deserve it.
• I want to put myself out there more, but I'm self conscious about being on camera and talking about my business.
• I want to trust the process, but there's also a part of me that thinks the path is too unclear to safely proceed.
What's something you feel conflicted about? You can work with that!
How to apply this tip
The easiest way is to book a session with a practitioner that can help you work with the parts or find a way to take yourself through the process.
There are multiple different methods out there for "parts work". I've personally been training to use one called "Core Transformation" ("CT"), created by Connirae Andreas (a prominent leader in the NLP industry).
In the CT process, we begin by acknowledging and thanking the different parts of us that come up because we know they have a positive purpose. We then go through the process of reaching it's "Core State" of resourcefulness (which feels AMAZING, btw), and then we "integrate it" into your subconscious mind through a series of techniques.
Clients leave sessions feeling more calm and present, and then as time passes, they often start to see shifts occurring with the challenge they worked with. It's a very gentle, yet powerful process.
For myself, I find that issues I work with just seem to resolve themselves somehow. I most recently used CT to help me with a morning phone scrolling habit and have not had the urge to do it since my session last week.
Why it works (short version):
Parts work is a creative and unique way to resolve inner conflicts. It gives every part of you an opportunity to have "a voice" and to be heard.
Just think about the last time you've been able to resolve a conflict in your life through communication. When all parties involved feel heard, it usually works!
There's also no need to force anything (like having to repeat affirmations you don't fully believe yet or stopping yourself from doing a behavior, for example), which adds a more creative and gentle process to change work.
Core Transformation, specifically, combines various NLP techniques and intentional language to work directly with the subconscious mind. Alternatively, you can get a taste of the CT process by watching a free YouTube video from Tamara Andreas guiding a group through this process (process starts at 29:09).
If you're working with a therapist, you may ask them if they're trained in a "parts work" modality and can take you through it.
