This Week's "Subconscious Success" Tip

Remember that your emotional and energetic inner state is subconsciously sensed and sometimes matched by those you interact with. So take a moment before meetings, presentations, and other moments of connection to do an inner check-in and get yourself into a resourceful state.


How to apply this tip

After becoming a subconscious change practitioner, this is something I pay A LOT more attention to now: how is my internal state influencing others?

Here are a few of my personal examples:

1) I take care to meet my clients in a grounded and resourceful state so that they can automatically feel more at ease within a few mins of joining the call. As we continue into the session, I often go into the process of relaxing and exploring with them, so that my guidance can match their experience. My clients generally experience more profound results because of this.

2) When I'm hosting a class or presentation of some kind, I'm taking extra time to wash my hair, put on a bit of makeup, and pick an outfit that brings me joy. I tell myself things like "I'm excited to share today! I get to do what I love! I got this!". I'm visualizing people in the audience smiling and nodding. I intentionally put myself into a state of curiosity, genuineness, and fun. People usually perceive me to be more confident and knowledgeable - just because of this.

3) If I know I'm going to be around a person who may be in a triggered, chaotic state, I'm going to show up in a grounded, chill state. Sometimes I practice deep breathing while they're talking. I notice people relax as our conversation progresses.

4) If I'm hopping on a discovery call with a potential person that wants to work with me, I ground myself and say something like "This is a casual chat about how I could potentially help. It may or may not be a good fit. I'm curious, and I'm excited to meet someone new". I visualize the end of the conversation and the person I talked to feeling more resourceful. This gets me out of any energy of "gotta make the sale", and generally I make really great connections.

Overall, this tip usually works really well to influence the "vibe" of the room. Most people are not intentional with their energy and run their day on autopilot.

You can take the lead and go first and be surprised with how that changes your interactions!


Why it works (short version):

You've probably noticed that some people may be doing and saying all the "right things", but something about them is just "off" and you can't quite put a finger on it.

This is because your subconscious mind is sensing what's actually happening in their internal state. They may be saying "I'm confident that this will work" out loud and nodding their head, but on the inside, they may be overrun by their inner critic saying "what if it doesn't?" and feelings of nervousness or stress. This isn't always obviously apparent on someone's face or in their words, but the subconscious mind of the receiving person senses it.

This is why I'm always encouraging my clients to work with their beliefs and subconscious patterns so that their internal state can naturally match the things they do and say. When those are congruent, it's naturally easier for folks to trust you and receive what you're sharing.


Ready to try it?

Next time you have any kind of interaction, take a few moments to check in with your own internal state. Even just taking a few deep belly breaths, telling yourself an affirmation, and visualizing a positive, authentic connection can impact your experience in incredible ways.
