Quote of the Week
"Be still. The quieter you become, the more you can hear."
-Ram Dass (Spiritual teacher, author) 🌼
This Week's "Subconscious Success" Tip
Take a moment to learn how to tell when your subconscious mind (vs. your rational, logical mind) is communicating with you!
This is great when you want to make an aligned decision, access some inner wisdom or insight about something, and of course when you're doing inner work like hypnosis or "parts work"!
Thanks to hypnosis & NLP trainer, Dr. David Snyder, for sharing these.
So next time you're turning within for inner insight, this is how to tell that your subconscious mind is communicating with you:
You could receive images or feelings in your body (vs. words)
It always answers first
It always answers honestly (it's direct instead of something well thought out, "sugar coated", or rational)
You will likely feel like you're making it up ("this sounds silly...I was just guessing")
You may feel the urge to edit the information...("that can't be right...that sounds weird")
It's usually quiet, soft, small, and has an "in the background" quality
It's typically not linear or logical (it's typical for it to jump around in its messages)
How to apply this tip
Let's consider an example. Maybe you're in a situation where you're not sure what to do or you're unclear, and you'd like to get some inner guidance.
Ask on the inside: "What do I need to know about this?"...or "Who/what can help me with this?" and notice what response comes back.
Sometimes I do this by automatic, unfiltered writing where I don't give myself time to pause and reflect...I just write.
If it's coming from your subconscious (instead of your filtered, rational mind), it might come in a form of an image or feeling in your body vs. thoughts. It'll also likely going to be the first that comes. It will be direct and honest. You might feel like you're making it up and feel the need to analyze and change the answer. The response will likely be soft and quiet instead of super loud and clear, and it will likely not be very linear or logical.
Why this might be helpful:
Learning to communicate with your subconscious mind vs. your logical, rational mind could help you make more aligned decisions and get insights about situations you may have ignored in the past. This is why you may have heard folks say "you have all the answers inside of you". This is how you can begin to gently access them.
This is also what I share with all my clients when I'm guiding them to communicate with their subconscious minds to get to the root of a matter, and it makes a big difference in the effectiveness of the work.
Ready to try it?
Next time you want to make a decision (big or small) or get some inner guidance on a situation, ask yourself "what do I need to know about this?" or "who/what can help me with this?" and look for the signs I mentioned above to see if it's the subconscious mind responding.

P.S. Which of the "communication qualities" I shared today did you find most interesting? Or, which one resonated with you the most?
Click here to connect and share your experience with me! For me, it was learning that it usually feels like I'm making up the response. As someone who used to prioritize her logical, analytical thinking, this is really useful to remember.
