Quote of the Week
âAll problems are just the mind holding on.â
-Lester Levenson (physicist, spiritual teacher & originator of the Sedona Method)đŒ
This Week's "Subconscious Success" Tip
Try this, if you're able to: pick up a pen or a light object and squeeze it...notice how at some point it becomes uncomfortable, yet also familiar like it's a part of you...and now unclench your hand a bit...notice how it can roll in your hand...and now just let it go and drop it.
This is a fantastic metaphor for our emotions and thoughts that we tend to grip onto and identify with, even if they make us uncomfortable. At some point the discomfort becomes familiar and we continue to hold on.
What if we could, however, just let it go?
Sometimes it can be that simple by just asking ourselves a few short questions (per the "Sedona Method" created by Lester Levenson and taught today by Hale Dwoskin).
How to Apply This Tip
Take a few minutes and take yourself through this process:
1. Think of a mild-medium intensity thought, feeling, or behavior that you'd like to change or improve. It could be something in your present experience or something like a phobia. It doesn't need to be felt strongly in order for this to work. Just think of a situation or context where this comes up for you so you could access it just enough to gather some information.
~
2. Allow it to come into your awareness and notice if you can just be with it for a moment in the experience. It's ok if you have reactions. Allow things to settle for a moment.
~
3. Ask on the inside - "Could I let this go?" (this means - is it possible to let this go?). Whatever answer you get is just fine.
~
4. Now ask "Would I let this go?" (even a little?)
~
5. And now ask "When?" (this creates the invitation to release this now or sometime in the future)
~
6. Repeat this process with the same thing you started with or any reactions you experienced until you either feel better or gain some important wisdom for where to take this next.
~
7. Reflect on the inner responses you received. Maybe you were able to let it go now. Maybe you received a "no" on the could/would questions. Maybe there's a part of you that wants to let you know it's important to hold on to this for some reason or that it's not time yet. Either way, this will give you some kind of expanded perspective into what you're experiencing.
Why it works (the short version)
A lot of emotional pain comes from resisting what we feelâjudging it, tightening around it, or trying to shove it away.
The Sedona Method gently helps us loosen our mental and emotional grip, so our natural intelligence can take over.
Think of it as opening your hand, instead of clenching a fist around whateverâs bugging you.
And from that open, relaxed place⊠your system can naturally re-balance.
(Your subconscious LOVES this, by the wayâit thrives when we stop pushing and just notice.)
Ready To Try It?
Whatâs something small youâre gripping onto today?
Try those three questions with it now.
You might be surprised by what happens when you stop trying to figure it outâand simply ask.
And if youâre ready to explore what else your subconscious is holding onto (that it might actually want to release), a Core Transformation session could take this even deeper.
Iâd love to help you reconnect with that calm, wise, open space within youâthe one thatâs always been there underneath it all.

P.S. Did you try this? What happened when you asked the could/would/when questions?
Click here to connect and share with me! I tried this with some sadness I feel about what's been going on with my life lately...and I got the response of "eventually" to the would question and "when I've had time to process" on the when question. Interesting...and gives me additional information about what parts of me may be involved in this. In my Core Transformation work, I could bring in the part of me that wants to process what's happening and see where it takes me. I love quick tools like this to access nuggets of inner wisdom.

P.P.S. Puppy Pixel update if you saw my last couple of newsletters: She's doing good (as of 4/5/25)! With the help of a holistic vet and a few other folks we've been able to get her the diet and supplements to give her the best shot of living many more months and maybe even years! We're grateful and are cherishing the time we have with her...however long that is. Thank you for your positive thoughts and love.
