Quote of the Week
"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it."

This Week's "Subconscious Success" Tip
I don't know about you, but sometimes if I take a nap, I'll end up sleeping longer than I wanted to and usually wake up feeling groggy. This is why I'm not really a fan of napping, but this year I finally tried something that seems to work better for me.
So, do you want to try a form of "napping" that you might find effective at helping you relax, clear your mind, and feel more refreshed in the middle of the day?
Try non sleep deep rest ("NSDR")!
I've been using this in the last few months when I've been feeling sluggish or overwhelmed. I've found that it pretty much always gives me a boost of renewed energy and unlocks some creative flow.
How to Apply This Tip
In short - carve out 20 mins.
Lay down in a comfy place with an eye-mask and blanket and listen to this recording!
If the linked recording doesn't suit your needs for whatever reason, there are SO many others out there that you can find on YouTube and also apps like Insight Timer if you search "non sleep deep rest" or "NSDR"!
"Yoga Nidra" is another name for this activity.
You can expect something similar to a guided meditation and to feel relaxed...like you're in a state where you're not asleep, but you're also not wide awake.
Why It Works (The Short Version)
When you sleep, your body is able to switch on your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest mode) and, in essence, activate self healing in the body.
This is similar to what happens when you're guided through NSDR and Yoga Nidra. Your body is deeply relaxed and going into rest and digest mode, but you're not actually going into full sleep so you can do these sessions in a shorter period of time. It's like a deep meditative state.
Scientific studies have shown NSDR to assist with overall wellbeing, neural plasticity (which enhances cognitive clarity and focus), mood regulation, stress reduction, and much more!
Ready To Try It?
This week, carve out 10-25 mins and either listen to this recording - or - search for "NSDR" or "Yoga Nidra" on YouTube or Insight Timer and try it out!
